Welcome to my blog, where you can find thoughts, story's, rants about everything that keeps my mind busy in regards to my daily business as an importer and distributor of natural beverages from independent producers on a mission.

My name is Roy, founder and owner of The Travelling Nut, Meet The ATWANS and Mr Fridge, father of Poppy and husband of Roos, living in The Hague, record collector, ancient history enthusiast, and basically a very curious guy that loves to share the flavours he comes across while travelling, whether it's music, drinks or food. 

I'm working for more then 20 years in the hospitality industry and have worked in many different disciplines, from working in the kitchen from Hutten Exclusieve Catering, to working as a bartender in cafe's and restaurants, organising dance party's, owning a bar production company and a whole sale and distribution company. 

I have studied Hotel & Eventmanagement at Hogeschool TIO Amsterdam and graduated on sustainability within the eventsector. 

Besides sharing the lovely drinks from the brands we represent, I love to cook, garden, ferment, studying about regenerative cultures and creating concepts that bring all my passions together that might have an impact and leaving the world in a better condition for our future offspring.
